Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how SIBIA (“Sibia”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on traveladoffers.com and on partner-branded TravelAd Offers pages (the “Platform”).
It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data generally.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags and software development kits that store or read information on your device. In this Policy we call all of them “cookies”. Cookies may be set by us (“first-party”) or by other organisations whose services we use (“third-party”), and may last only for your visit (“session”) or for a set period (“persistent”).
2. How we ask for and record your consent
When you first visit the Platform we show a cookie banner. Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you make a choice. The banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose categories, with the same number of clicks for each option. We record your choice in a first-party cookie so we do not ask again. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page; withdrawal takes effect for future processing.
3. The cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary (no consent required)
These are required for the Platform to work, to keep it secure, to remember your country and cookie choices and to complete a booking. You cannot switch them off in the banner, but you can block them in your browser, in which case parts of the Platform will not function.
3.2 Functional (consent required)
These remember choices you make to give you a more personal experience, such as your preferred language or currency display.
3.3 Analytics (consent required)
These help us understand how visitors use the Platform, which experiences and campaigns perform, and where errors occur. We configure analytics providers to truncate or pseudonymise IP addresses and we do not use analytics data to identify you.
3.4 Advertising and measurement (consent required)
These are set by advertising partners to measure whether a campaign led to a booking and, if you consent, to show you relevant advertising on other sites. Where these cookies are used, the partner may combine the data with information it holds about you as an independent controller.
Third-party cookies are governed by the provider’s own privacy notice.
4. Cookies on Third-Party Provider and Supplier pages
Some parts of the booking journey (for example an embedded payment component) and all post-booking pages (voucher, amendment and cancellation pages) may be served by the relevant Third-Party Provider, the third-party marketplace or booking platform through which the Experience or Offer is sourced, or by the Supplier, under their own domains and their own cookie notices. Where a Third-Party Provider embeds a component in our pages, that component may set the Third-Party Provider’s own cookies; these are listed in the banner under the Third-Party Provider’s name and are subject to your consent where not strictly necessary. Each Third-Party Provider’s privacy and cookie notice is linked on the Experience or Offer page. This Policy does not apply to pages served by Third-Party Providers or Suppliers.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking new ones. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from completing a booking.
6. Changes
We update this Policy when we add or remove cookies or change providers; the “Last updated” date is the definitive record.
